Safe Mode Disabled by Virus

So you have found that you have a virus… typically one of the fake anti-virus programs and your computer will run normally but not in safe mode. When you make the selection during windows boot it just restarts. This is because the virus has disabled the safe mode boot key in the registry. If you are an experienced PC user, we provide instructions below to edit the registry and re-enable safe mode.  If you are a standard PC user, it is not safe to try to edit the registry on your own. You can chat with one of our Certified American Experts by clicking the green chat button above. Whether you attempt to fix the problem yourself or get help from SupportNerds we highly recommended that you fix the issue as soon as possible. The longer you allow a malware virus to run on your PC , the more damage it can do to your Operating System.

We can Use our Advanced Techniques to Remove the Virus

We have the ability to use special technician tools to access your PC right now and remove the virus so you experience 0% loss of data due to the malware virus disabling safe mode. We are available to help you anytime, you can chat with us by clicking the Free Chat Button below or calling (866)960-0592 to speak with a live American technician right now!

Instructions for Advanced Windows Users for Enabling Safe Mode

By starting in safe mode, you are disabling startup programs and ‘non-essential’ services.  Note that some hardware, such as USB devices, audio devices and IEEE 1394 devices will not work properly, or at all, in safe mode. Services that WILL load in safe mode are listed at the following registry keys:

Safe mode
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \SYSTEM \CurrentControlSet \Control \SafeBoot \Minimal

Safe mode with networking
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \SYSTEM \CurrentControlSet \Control \SafeBoot \Network

Make sure all key values are listed and listed correctly.
